Cycling.

Brighton is a documented community on the Great Lakes Waterfront Trail; the signed Brighton segment carries cyclists on a mix of on-road and trail routing through town and into Presqu'ile Provincial Park. Inside the park, the paved internal road provides a flat signed cycling loop past the campgrounds, beaches, the Marsh Boardwalk, and the lighthouse.

Cycling in Brighton
01 — What to know

The brief.

The Brighton segment of the Great Lakes Waterfront Trail is signed and connects the town's downtown core to the park entrance and through the park. Inside Presqu'ile, the paved park road forms a short loop — flat, signed, and shared with low park traffic and pedestrians.

Best season is May through October; spring and fall pair well with the bird-migration windows. The park's daily vehicle permit covers cycling access on the internal road; outside the park, the Waterfront Trail has no fee but is shared with on-road traffic on its on-road segments.
