Walking & Strolling.

The Presqu'ile Lighthouse Loop wraps the southern tip of the peninsula past the 1840 lighthouse and the Friends of Presqu'ile Lighthouse Interpretive Centre, with beach boardwalks running along the panne and dune sections of the southern shore. It's the most concentrated heritage walk inside the park — a flat ribbon between the lighthouse, the beach, and the marsh interior.

01 — What to know

The brief.

The Lighthouse Loop and beach boardwalks are flat and accessible. The lighthouse area is open seasonally, with the Friends of Presqu'ile Lighthouse Interpretive Centre running summer programming.

In town, Brighton's heritage Main Street provides a short walking spine through the historic core, and the Proctor House Museum (1853) sits a short distance off Main Street. The town walking is best paired with the Brighton Applefest weekend on the last full weekend of September, when Main Street fills with the festival crowd.

Daily vehicle permits apply at the park; town walking is free and year-round.
