Cycling.
The Great Lakes Waterfront Trail threads South Dundas along Highway 2 and the St. Lawrence Seaway shoreline, with documented community segments through both Morrisburg and Iroquois.
From Morrisburg the corridor runs east toward South Stormont and the Long Sault Parkway, and west toward Iroquois and Edwardsburgh-Cardinal — a continuous Seaway shoreline ride on a mix of paved off-road segments and on-road shoulders.
The brief.
The Waterfront Trail is the spine — Morrisburg and Iroquois are documented community nodes — but the corridor inside South Dundas is mixed: some paved off-road sections (especially through park-managed land at Crysler Park and the Migratory Bird Sanctuary) and other sections that ride the Highway 2 shoulder. Cornwall and Counties Tourism maintains an SDG-wide cycling inventory that ties South Dundas's segments to the longer SDG network east into Cornwall and west into Edwardsburgh-Cardinal.
Best season is mid-May through October; the Waterfront Trail does not maintain winter conditions on the South Dundas segments. There is no dedicated singletrack or bike park in scope — this is a road-and-rail-trail product, not mountain biking.
