The Lower Trent Trail runs along the Trent River corridor through Quinte West as part of the Trans Canada Trail — a flat multi-use rail-trail that connects Frankford and Trenton along the lower Trent. Quinte West also sits on the Loyalist Parkway / Highway 33 corridor that crosses south on the Glenora ferry to Prince Edward County.

The brief.

The Lower Trent Trail is the easiest entry point to cycling Quinte West — flat, multi-use, and connecting Frankford to Trenton along the river. The Trans Canada Trail continues east from Trenton toward Belleville and west toward Brighton, opening a long-distance Bay of Quinte cycling corridor.

On road, the Loyalist Parkway from Trenton to Bath is the regional scenic route — south to Prince Edward County via the Carrying Place and the Murray Canal, then to the Glenora ferry. Best season is May through October.
