Walking & Strolling.

The Trestle Walk runs along the Seguin River beneath the Canadian Pacific Railway trestle bridge in downtown Parry Sound — a short pedestrian path that frames a railway crossing the line has used since the late 19th century. From there the walk continues to the Town Dock waterfront promenade in front of the Charles W.

Stockey Centre, then west to Salt Dock Park on Big Sound and the Tower Hill stair climb above the harbour.

Walking & Strolling in Parry Sound
01 — What to know

The brief.

The downtown Parry Sound walking ribbon is compact, mostly flat or gently graded, and concentrated on the Seguin River and the Big Sound shoreline. The Trestle Walk and the Town Dock promenade run year-round; Tower Hill's restored 1920s steel fire-tower lookout is reached on foot via the in-town parks network and gives sightlines over the harbour and the offshore islands.

Salt Dock Park on Big Sound and Waubuno Beach round out the in-town waterfront. The Town's parks and trails inventory anchors all of these.

May through October is the easiest window; the Town Dock and Trestle Walk stay accessible into shoulder season and winter.
