Swimming & Beach.
Arrowhead Lake inside Arrowhead Provincial Park carries three sand beaches north of town. Hutcheson Beach and Port Sydney Beach are the Town of Huntsville's headline municipal beaches, and Avery Beach Park sits along the Hunters Bay Trail boardwalk loop — six distinct swim spots inside the boundary across municipal and provincial sites.
The brief.
Late June through August is the marquee swim window across all six locations. Arrowhead's three sand beaches are inside the Park (day-use or camping permit required); the lake is small enough that the swim experience is sheltered.
The Town of Huntsville's municipal beaches are free and operate seasonally with the standard town beach calendar — Hutcheson Beach is on the Huntsville town side; Port Sydney Beach sits at the southern community of Port Sydney, which is part of the Town of Huntsville's municipal boundary. Avery Beach Park is accessed off the Hunters Bay Trail and combines beach use with the boardwalk loop.
