Downhill Skiing & Snowboarding.

The Beaver Valley Ski Club, on the eastern wall of the Beaver Valley at Kimberley, runs roughly 220 metres of lift-served vertical and a set of named runs through the lake-effect snowbelt south of Georgian Bay. The club is a private members organization — Beaver Valley is not a public destination resort, and the Talisman Mountain Resort that once held the public hill in the same village closed in 2011.

Access is for members and approved guests only; this matters because the club gate is the primary downhill infrastructure inside the township. Casual visitors should plan public-skiing days at Blue Mountain Resort or Mount St.

Louis Moonstone in adjacent regions rather than driving to the Kimberley club gate. The Beaver Valley snowbelt holds reliable snow into March most years on lake-effect cycles off Georgian Bay; the season at the club typically runs late December through mid-March.

Cross-country skiing at Kolapore Wilderness Trails (a separate tract a short drive from the club) is publicly accessible by KWTA pass.
