01 — What to know

The brief.

The 38 km separated trail is the centrepiece — paved and flat, suitable for road, e-bike-touring, and family riding. Parking and washrooms sit at the western trailhead off Highway 2 just north of the Thousand Islands Casino corridor.

The downtown Waterfront Trail segment through Gananoque follows King Street, mainly on-road through the heritage core; the Gananoque Trail System Lions Loop (bicycle-accessible) connects the corridor to Confederation Park and Joel Stone Park inside the town's perimeter. Best season is May through October; the trail is groomed paved year-round but not winter-cleared.
