The Riverfront Park system runs more than 5 km along the south bank of the Detroit River from the Ambassador Bridge east to Hiram Walker, with the Detroit skyline directly opposite, the Odette Sculpture Park threaded along the path, the Charlie Brooks Memorial Peace Fountain anchored in the river off Coventry Gardens, and Dieppe Gardens at the foot of Ouellette Avenue.

The Riverfront Park system is the city's central walking spine — more than 5 km of continuous public path from the Ambassador Bridge east to Hiram Walker, almost entirely flat and paved or surfaced. Odette Sculpture Park's more than 30 large-scale outdoor works are open-air and free year-round along the corridor.
Coventry Gardens / Reaume Park anchors the Charlie Brooks Memorial Peace Fountain (the floating fountain in the river itself), and Dieppe Gardens sits at the foot of Ouellette Avenue at the centre of downtown. Olde Sandwich Towne, west of downtown, carries heritage walking through the 1797 village core.
In Walkerville, Willistead Manor's grounds open the 1906 Tudor-revival estate to public walking. April through October is the easiest window; the Riverfront and downtown core stay walkable year-round.
