Snow Adventure.

The Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs Trans Ontario Provincial trail network runs through the Almaguin Highlands corridor, with Sundridge sitting on the through-route between Burk's Falls to the south and the South River / Near North trail clusters to the north. Local OFSC member clubs groom the corridor, and the village functions as a fuel-and-services stop for riders working the Almaguin section of the broader TOP system.

01 — What to know

The brief.

A valid OFSC seasonal or daily snowmobile trail permit is required on the TOP network; permits are sold through the OFSC permit system and member clubs. Trail status changes daily through the season — open / limited / closed status, alternate routings, and grooming reports are published on the OFSC Interactive Trail Guide and worth checking before any ride.

The Almaguin riding window typically runs mid-December through mid-March, subject to snow cover; cold spells extend the season, mild winters compress it. The corridor connects Almaguin riders to the broader Near North TOP network; longer rides string the Almaguin and Near North trail clusters together rather than ending in the village.
