Walking & Strolling.
The flat lakefront walkway inside Innisfil Beach Park is the easiest entry to walking the Cook's Bay shore — a short shore-side route between the swim beach, the boat ramps, and the marina that's open year-round. North of the park, the Tom Taylor Trail follows the former Hamilton & Northwestern Railway corridor through Innisfil as part of the Trans Canada Trail.
The brief.
Inside Innisfil Beach Park, the walkway is flat, accessible, and pairs naturally with the splash pad, picnic shelters, and beach. The Tom Taylor Trail's Innisfil segment is mixed crushed-stone and paved, used by walkers and cyclists, and links toward Cookstown south and toward Barrie north.
Lakeshore Drive between Big Bay Point and Lefroy is a longer pavement walk along the immediate shore through Sandy Cove and Alcona. The lakefront walkway is open year-round; the Tom Taylor Trail stays walkable through winter on packed snow.
