Cycling.
The Tom Taylor Trail's Innisfil segment offers the easiest off-road cycling in the town — the abandoned Hamilton & Northwestern Railway corridor running through Innisfil as part of the Trans Canada Trail. Lakeshore Drive between Big Bay Point and Lefroy is the standard on-road shore route, almost flat, with views of Cook's Bay and Kempenfelt Bay's mouth.
The brief.
The Tom Taylor Trail is mixed crushed-stone and paved and handles hybrid and gravel bikes; it links toward Cookstown south and toward Barrie north on the Trans Canada Trail. Lakeshore Drive carries shared road traffic — comfortable for road riders but exposed in summer when waterfront traffic peaks.
The wider Innisfil rural road network is gently rolling agricultural land suitable for road riding outside the immediate shoreline. Best season is May through October; the trail and shore route stay rideable into shoulder season.
