Selkirk Provincial Park's beach is the destination Lake Erie swim — sandy, family-friendly, with frontcountry camping and marsh trails behind the dunes. Rock Point Provincial Park, near Dunnville, has beaches and shallow Lake Erie water alongside the bird and monarch migration grounds.
Dunnville's Centennial Park beach is the urban Lake Erie / Grand River-mouth alternative.

Selkirk is the full-park beach experience — sandy lakeshore, vehicle-permit access through the park, frontcountry camping behind the dunes, and the Wheeler's Walk marsh boardwalk a short walk away. Rock Point's beaches sit next to the migration grounds and tend to be quieter — a good combination for visitors who want a swim alongside birding or monarch viewing in season.
Dunnville's Centennial Park is the urban swim near where the Grand River meets Lake Erie. Lake Erie swim season is June through early September; water temperatures peak in late July and August.
