Sailing & Boating.
Muskoka Wharf at 275 Steamship Bay Road sits on the south basin of Lake Muskoka — the southern home port of the Muskoka Steamships fleet. The RMS Segwun (built 1887, returned to active service in 1981), Wenonah II, and Wanda III all run from here through the cruise season.
The south basin opens north into the broader Muskoka Lakes navigation system — Lake Rosseau and Lake Joseph beyond.
The brief.
The Muskoka Steamships fleet is operated by the non-profit Muskoka Heritage Foundation; ticketing and the cruise schedule run through the Muskoka Steamships and Discovery Centre. The cruise season runs roughly Victoria Day weekend through Thanksgiving — peak schedule July through Labour Day, with reduced sailings into the fall colour window.
The Wharf has a public boat launch, dock, and parking; private motor-boating and sailing on Lake Muskoka run from the same waterfront. Lake Muskoka is a working cottage-country lake — expect mixed traffic (cruise sailings, private boats, paddlers) on the south basin, particularly mid-summer weekends.
