Swimming & Beach.
Port Stanley Main Beach is one of the established sand beaches on Lake Erie's north shore — a Blue Flag-certified, lifeguarded municipal beach with deep sand, shallow-grading water, and main-street access through the village a short walk from the harbour. Port Stanley Little Beach, immediately east of the harbour, is a quieter secondary beach pocket.
The brief.
Main Beach is the destination beach — wide sand, shallow-grading Lake Erie water, lifeguarding in season, and direct walking access to the village main street and the harbour. Little Beach, on the east side of the Kettle Creek harbour mouth, is the smaller and quieter of the two municipal beaches.
Lake Erie swim season runs late May through early September, with peak water temperatures in late July and August. The Municipality of Central Elgin maintains both beaches; lifeguarding follows the published Main Beach season.
