Outdoor Education in Brant
01 — What to know

The brief.

Apps' Mill is the County's outdoor-education anchor and is uncommonly well-resourced for a small rural municipality — the GRCA has carved out a dedicated nature centre with no admission fee and seasonal programming hours for school and family groups. Programming runs through the warm season for outdoor education; school programming continues year-round.

Brant Conservation Area's group camping (south of Paris) and Pinehurst Lake's frontcountry campground (near St. George) extend outdoor-education capacity into multi-day and overnight formats — both are GRCA-managed and require GRCA bookings.

The same Carolinian forest, Whiteman's Creek, and Grand River corridor that anchors Brant's other outdoor activities is the substrate for outdoor-ed programming.
