Walking & Strolling.
The Dils Lake loop at Chippawa Creek Conservation Area is a 1.1-kilometre wheelchair-accessible boardwalk through marsh edge and shaded woods — the easiest entry to the township's outdoor layer for visitors who can't manage uneven terrain. In Smithville, the village core links West Lincoln Community Park's playground, splash pad, and skate park to Hank MacDonald Park on Mill Street and Streamside Park along Creekview Drive, and Wellandport carries Old Bridge Park on Canborough Road plus the Wellandport Community Park loop.
The brief.
The Dils Lake boardwalk is the only fully accessible loop in West Lincoln and is the recommended entry for stroller and wheelchair users; the loop also passes the accessible fishing piers. Smithville's village walks are short — the cluster of West Lincoln Community Park (177 West Street), Hank MacDonald Park (157 Mill Street), Streamside Park (42A Creekview Drive), and the Township office at 318 Canborough Street is walkable in a single morning.
Wellandport's Old Bridge Park (5162 Canborough Road) and the Wellandport Community Park loop on Regional Road 63 sit along the Welland River. South Creek Trail off Wade Road and the Leisureplex Trail are short municipal walks rather than long-distance routes; the West Lincoln Community Centre's walking track wraps the building and is usable year-round.
