Hiking.
The Bruce Trail Northern Terminus Cairn stands at Little Tub Harbour — the unveiled-1967 endpoint of more than 890 km of marked footpath running south to Niagara, with the 160 km Peninsula Section from Wiarton to Tobermory carrying the most rugged escarpment-edge tread on the route. From the cairn it is a short walk to the Chi-Cheemaun ferry slip, and a short drive to Cyprus Lake where the inland trail network feeds the Grotto and Indian Head Cove.
The brief.
The headline park hikes inside Bruce Peninsula NP are the Cyprus Lake trail network (Georgian Bay Trail, Marr Lake Trail, Horse Lake Trail, Cyprus Lake Trail) reaching the Grotto sea cave and Indian Head Cove, and the Halfway Log Dump access dropping onto a boulder beach further south. On the Lake Huron side, the 2.6 km Singing Sands boardwalk loop at Dorcas Bay crosses rare orchid-and-fen habitat.
Advance vehicle reservations are mandatory at the Grotto, Halfway Log Dump, and Little Cove from May 1 through October 31; walk-up access is no longer available in season. Parking runs $12.25 per vehicle / 4 hours.
