Mountain Biking.

Kivi Park at Long Lake's south arm is the Sudbury mountain-biking anchor — 55 km of multi-use trails on 480 ha of Canadian Shield, purpose-built singletrack maintained in partnership with the Sudbury Mountain Bike Association. Lake Laurentian Conservation Area on the south side carries additional multi-use riding across ~2,400 ha.

Mountain Biking in Sudbury
01 — What to know

The brief.

Kivi Park combines purpose-built singletrack, doubletrack, and shared-use trail; Sudbury MBA hosts events on the network and contributes to trail building. The Shield surface — exposed bedrock, jack pine, kettle lakes — gives Sudbury riding the same character as Killarney-area or Temagami trails, but with a 55 km consolidated network inside city limits.

Lake Laurentian's trails are not purpose-built MTB but do carry sustainable multi-use riding. Best season is late May through October; trails dry quickly after rain on the bedrock-rich Shield surface.
