Snow Adventure.

Minden is a hub on the Haliburton County Snowmobile Association network — 330 km of OFSC TOP trail across the county, with Trail #112B running directly through downtown Minden along the Dominion Hotel block. Snowdon Park's 460 acres carry shield trail year-round and shift to snowshoe and casual cross-country in winter, with the same boardwalks and viewpoints used by summer hikers.

Reliable Canadian Shield snow cover holds the season together from mid-December into early March.

01 — What to know

The brief.

The HCSA is the local OFSC affiliate. Trail status reports through the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs' Interactive Trail Guide are the practical reference for current conditions before riding.

The Dominion Hotel sitting on Trail #112B is a node-on-trail; the Highway 35 corridor is the road equivalent connecting Minden to Carnarvon and Dorset for cottage-country snowmobile staging. Snowdon Park supports snowshoe and casual XC year-round, with mid-December through early March as the reliable window.

Township parks other than Snowdon close mid-October to mid-May.
