Rock Climbing.
Rattlesnake Point Conservation Area carries the highest concentration of developed sport-climbing routes on the southern Niagara Escarpment — limestone walls at Buffalo Crag, the Pinnacle, the Forks Wall, and the Trafalgar and Nelson Walls all sit above the talus inside one CH park. Mount Nemo adds a second crag a few minutes south, with the same escarpment limestone and a quieter feel.
The brief.
Climbing at Rattlesnake Point and Mount Nemo is permitted only on designated routes, and access requires a Conservation Halton climbing membership and signed waiver in addition to standard park entry. The Ontario Alliance of Climbers handles route stewardship and the access advocacy framework with CH; route information and current closures are published through OAC.
Sport, trad, and top-rope all surface across the named walls; bouldering happens on talus blocks at the base of the cliffs. May through October is the standard window, with April and November shoulder seasons that depend on weather.
Cliff-edge fall hazard at the lookouts above the climbing zones is real.
