Hiking.
Mount Nemo's cliff edge is one of the few places on the southern Niagara Escarpment where the Bruce Trail walks the lip of the limestone face for a sustained stretch. From Brock Harris Lookout the trail threads escarpment crevice caves north toward Rattlesnake Point and the Nassagaweya Canyon side trail at Crawford Lake — five Conservation Halton parks linked along the Toronto Section.
The brief.
The Bruce Trail Toronto Section runs through five CH parks inside Milton: Mount Nemo, Rattlesnake Point, Crawford Lake, Kelso, and Hilton Falls. Each requires a Conservation Halton day-use entry or membership; reservations sell out at Rattlesnake Point and Crawford Lake on summer and fall-colour weekends.
The escarpment terrain is rocky and uneven near cliff edges at Mount Nemo and Rattlesnake Point — sturdy footwear is the norm and the cliff-edge fall hazard is real. May through October is the easiest window; late September through mid-October peaks for fall colour on the escarpment hardwoods.
The Bruce Trail Conservancy publishes section maps for the Toronto Section.
