Nature & Discovery.
Cave Springs Conservation Area sits on a documented linear migration corridor — Niagara Escarpment talus slopes and cliffs above bedrock-plain sugar-maple forest — with new Cave Spring Road access (vehicle and bicycle parking) and Bruce Trail / Margaret Reed Side Trail connections. Ball's Falls Conservation Area carries Carolinian forest along Twenty Mile Creek and houses the LEED Gold Centre for Conservation, with permanent and temporary galleries on the Niagara Escarpment, the watershed, and area history.
The brief.
The two NPCA conservation areas plus the Charles Daley Park lakeshore give Lincoln a documented birding and nature-interpretation product across three habitats — Carolinian forest along the creek (Ball's Falls), escarpment talus and bedrock-plain sugar-maple forest (Cave Springs), and Lake Ontario shoreline at the Fifteen / Sixteen Mile Creek confluence (Charles Daley Park). The Centre for Conservation at Ball's Falls is the indoor interpretive anchor, with seasonal gallery programming.
Best window is May through October for migration; year-round walking at Cave Springs once the road access opens.
