Snow Adventure.

Limberlost's winter snowshoe inventory runs across the 70+ km multi-use network on the same waiver-access model — daily 9 a.m.–5 p.m., trails free, dogs leashed. The OFSC District 7 snowmobile network routes through the township beyond the reserve, and the higher Shield elevation around the Dorset hills holds snow well from mid-December through early March.

Snow Adventure in Lake of Bays
01 — What to know

The brief.

Best season is mid-December through early March, weather depending. Limberlost's snowshoe use covers the same 12 principal trails the system runs in summer; bring your own gear (no on-site winter rentals).

Arrowhead Provincial Park's man-made 1.3-km ice-skating trail through the forest — the Muskoka cluster's marquee winter product — sits across the boundary in the Town of Huntsville, a short drive west on Highway 60. The OFSC trail system through Lake of Bays is part of the District 7 network and connects east into the Dorset / Algonquin Highlands corridor.
