Sailing & Boating.
The town-owned Kingsville Marina sits on a sheltered Lake Erie basin on the north-shore waterfront and serves as the launch point for sailing and motor-boating into the open lake. From the same waterfront, the Pelee Islander seasonal passenger and vehicle ferry to Pelee Island runs out of the Kingsville mainland terminal under Ontario MTO — making Kingsville one of two mainland ferry departure points for Pelee Island.
The brief.
The Kingsville Marina is operated by the Town and provides sailing and motor-boat launch into Lake Erie's north shore. The Pelee Islander ferry runs on a published Ontario MTO seasonal schedule — typically late March / early April through early December — with vehicle reservations strongly recommended in peak summer.
From the marina, sailors run out into Lake Erie north-shore cruising waters between Kingsville and Pelee Island; the open lake is exposed to weather and ferry-traffic, so trip planning around marine forecasts and the published ferry schedule matters. Best season for open-lake sailing is late spring through early fall.
