Cycling.
Sixth Line and Trafalgar Road carry quiet rural road cycling north and south through Halton Hills' escarpment country between Georgetown and Acton. The Hungry Hollow Trail handles family-friendly off-road cycling on a paved-and-gravel valley path through Georgetown, and the broader Halton Region cycling network connects routes north into Caledon's Forks of the Credit corridor.
The brief.
Halton Hills' cycling surface is mostly road. The town's rural concession-road grid runs Sixth Line, Trafalgar Road, Tenth Side Road, and parallel cross-roads through rolling moraine and till-plain terrain.
Traffic is light on weekday mornings and weekend rides; the routes link Georgetown, Glen Williams, Limehouse, and Acton. The Hungry Hollow Trail in Georgetown is the off-road family option.
There is no purpose-built singletrack inside the corporate boundary — the closest mountain-bike network is Conservation Halton's designated trails at Hilton Falls (administered by CH at the Milton boundary). May through October is the standard road-cycling window.
