Walking & Strolling.
Springside Park's accessible 0.75 km Napanee River Boardwalk runs from the urban-core waterfall — the river dropping under an active railway trestle — east along the riverbank to Conservation Park's downtown docks. From there it is a few blocks to Rotary Park's splash pad, the public library, and the Museum of Lennox & Addington in the former county jailhouse on Thomas Street East.
The brief.
The Napanee River Boardwalk is the township's signature short walking surface — flat, paved, accessible, and open year-round between Springside Park and Conservation Park. Most visitors start at Springside, take in the falls and the railway trestle, and finish at Conservation Park where the docks, picnic shelter, and pavilion are; the route is under a kilometre and most people walk it in twenty minutes either way.
Rotary Park's splash pad runs daily 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. June through September.
Sherman's Point Park sits a short drive south on the Bay of Quinte and gives a small bay-shore walk on a different shoreline. The boardwalk surface stays accessible into shoulder season and through winter when crews keep it clear.
