Swimming & Beach.
Stewart Lake Beach in MacTier is the Township's accessible beach — mobimat access into the water, change rooms, swim platform, and a pavilion at 42 Stewart Street. Across the township at 17 Port Severn Road N, Port Severn Park beach carries a public swim area with a splash pad, playground, and pavilion, and Six Mile Lake Provincial Park rounds out the inventory with three sandy beaches across 217 campsites.
The brief.
The two Township beaches are open seasonally (roughly late June through Labour Day for staffed-services), with free resident parking at Port Severn Park. Six Mile Lake's three sandy beaches include a designated pet beach and are open during the park's services season (roughly May 11 through October 9 in 2025).
Lake-water beaches in this region warm into July and August; June is often cold, and water conditions on Georgian Bay open water are colder than the inland-lake beaches at Stewart Lake or Six Mile Lake.
