Camping.
Beausoleil Island's 130 boat-in campsites and 8 oTENTik / cabin sites are reached from the Parks Canada Operations Base at 2611 Honey Harbour Road on a 15-minute boat run across the channel. The Massasauga Provincial Park, between the Township and Parry Sound, adds 135 water-access backcountry sites across 13,105 hectares of windswept islands, and Six Mile Lake Provincial Park completes the picture with 217 frontcountry sites across seven campgrounds 10 km north of Port Severn.
The brief.
Beausoleil reservations through Parks Canada open in early February for the upcoming season; the park operates roughly mid-May through Thanksgiving. The Massasauga is backcountry-only with no gatehouse — paddlers reserve in advance through Ontario Parks and enter directly from water-access points like Pete's Place on Blackstone Harbour.
Massasauga season runs late April through the third weekend of October. Six Mile Lake is full-service frontcountry — semi-private, waterfront, electrical and non-electrical sites with comfort stations, washrooms, and showers.
McCrae Lake Conservation Reserve is the unmanaged option: 2,039 hectares of Crown land with no fees, no permits, no reservations, and Ontario Parks backcountry rules.
