Walking & Strolling.
Sunset Point Park sits on Nottawasaga Bay between Huron and Russell Streets with a sand beach and a playground built around Collingwood landmarks — lighthouse, wetland, town hall, forest, amphitheatre. From there, the Heritage Trail threads the harbour past the marina, launching ramp, and Collingwood Yacht Club to a scenic lookout at Millennium Park under the Collingwood Terminals.
The brief.
Most of the central walking experience is flat, paved or boardwalked, and clusters along the harbour. Harbourview Park is the downtown winter-groomed waterfront stretch — the Town confirms grooming on Harbourview and the Georgian Trail through winter.
The 4.2 km Harbour Circle is the in-town walking loop; the 5.8 km East Circle and the 7.7 km West Circle extend into adjacent neighbourhoods. Paid parking applies at Sunset Point Park and Millennium Park from 9 am to 9 pm seasonally between the Friday before Victoria Day and Thanksgiving Monday.
The Town's broader 60+ km network is non-motorized with the standard e-bike and mobility-device exceptions.
