Camping.
Long Beach Conservation Area sits on the Lake Erie shoreline inside the Township of Wainfleet — an NPCA-operated frontcountry campground with direct beach access, sand-and-cobble shoreline, and a rural setting that runs quieter than the busier Niagara campgrounds further east toward Fort Erie and the Niagara River.
The brief.
Long Beach is seasonal — typical NPCA operation is May through October — and reservations run through the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority's campground booking system. The campground is frontcountry: drive-up sites, standard NPCA infrastructure, no backcountry product.
The beach is the same Lake Erie shoreline used as the township's swimming anchor, which means the camping product and the day-use beach product share weather: storms develop quickly when the wind comes onshore. There is no NPCA-operated camping at Wainfleet Bog Conservation Area — that site is day-use only.
