Heritage & Culture.

The Canada Southern Railway Station at the foot of Talbot Street is the surviving anchor of St. Thomas's "Railway Capital of Canada" identity — a Second Empire–style depot built in 1873 for the Canada Southern Railway and designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 1992.

A short walk west, the Elgin County Railway Museum sits inside the 1913 Michigan Central Railroad locomotive shop and holds CN locomotive 5700 alongside vintage rolling stock.
