Heritage & Culture.
Ellis Chapel is a small stone heritage chapel built in 1861, off Ellis Road inside the Township of Puslinch, operated by volunteer trustees as a continuously used community heritage site with seasonal community services through the summer. Inside the village of Aberfoyle, the historic village core on Brock Road anchors a small mid-19th-century rural Wellington heritage cluster, where the long-running Aberfoyle Antique Market runs Sundays from May through October.
The brief.
Ellis Chapel runs on a volunteer-trustee schedule rather than continuous hours — community services are seasonal and access for visitors is by event schedule rather than open opening. The Ontario Heritage Trust documents the chapel as a continuously used 1861 stone building.
The Aberfoyle Antique Market is a separate visitor product on Brock Road in Aberfoyle, running Sundays May through October, and is the most visible heritage-and-vintage anchor in the township during summer weekends. Both are within the same short driving radius — Aberfoyle is the township's village heart and Ellis Chapel is a few minutes off the village core.
