Mountain Biking.

Kelso Conservation Area's singletrack network is most riders' first GTA mountain-bike day — a beginner-friendly cross-country surface running through escarpment forest and around the reservoir. Hilton Falls steps it up with longer, more technical loops; Halton Region Forest's Britton Tract adds a third option on regional forest land a short drive west.

01 — What to know

The brief.

Conservation Halton runs purpose-built singletrack at Kelso and Hilton Falls under a CH trail-pass system on top of standard park entry. Halton Region Forest's Britton Tract carries additional cross-country singletrack and is administered by Halton Region (no trail pass; standard forest-tract rules).

Trails are open May through October; the spring opening date depends on trail-drying conditions and CH/Halton Region announcements. Kelso's network is shared with hikers — yield to foot traffic.

Hilton Falls' MTB trails are designated and separate from hiker-only Bruce Trail segments. Britton Tract trails are multi-use; ride within sight lines.
