Cycling.
The Pinery Savannah Trail runs 14 kilometres of paved multi-use trail the length of Pinery Provincial Park, threading the Burley, Riverside, and Dunes campgrounds along the Old Ausable Channel and the Lake Huron beach access points. From the park gates, Highway 21 carries Lake Huron coastal cycling north toward the Bayfield-Goderich corridor and south toward Plympton-Wyoming.
The brief.
The Pinery Savannah Trail is paved, gently graded, and dedicated to non-motorized use — a practical option for family cycling, e-bikes, and cycle-camping out of any of the three campgrounds. Daily vehicle permit or Ontario Parks pass covers cycling access at the gates.
The trail is rideable May through October; winter closure varies with weather and grooming. Highway 21 is paved and signed but is a regional through-route with traffic; treat it as a road-cycling option rather than a protected lane.
