Nature & Discovery.
Bognor Marsh Management Area is a provincially significant wetland complex managed by Grey Sauble Conservation Authority on the upland east of Owen Sound, with a boardwalk loop and observation tower over open marsh and surrounding swamp. Spring waterfowl pass through April and May, breeding-season songbirds and rails fill in through June, and the Inglis Falls Arboretum and Skinner's Bluff add hardwood and escarpment-edge birding within a short drive.
The brief.
Bognor Marsh is the substantive birding anchor — a GSCA-managed boardwalk loop with an observation tower, free access, year-round but most productive April through June and again in fall migration. The Inglis Falls Arboretum carries hardwood-forest birding adjacent to the falls platform; Skinner's Bluff sits at the escarpment edge above Colpoy's Bay where the Bruce Trail outlook puts viewers above the migrating raptor flyway in fall.
None of the three sites are staffed in any season. Best season is April through October overall, with mid-September through mid-October peak for the Skinner's Bluff escarpment-edge raptor migration.
